The karaoke room was dimly lit, and there, in the middle of the room, my boyfriend of three years, Liam, was doing a sake bomb with this girl, Tiffany, who he’d always had a "thing" for.
The second I pushed open the door, everyone turned and stared like I was crashing a party I wasn't invited to.
Liam, trying to sound calm, told me to "chill out."
I just laughed. Did he really think he was that irresistible?
Any guy who’s got his head turned like that isn't worth my time.
I’m outta here.

"Okay, okay, Chloe, don’t get the wrong idea. We were just playing 'Truth or Dare'," Tiffany said with a sweet, almost innocent smile. She quickly pulled her arm away from Liam, as if nothing weird had just happened.
She acted so cool, like she wasn’t just doing shots with my boyfriend.
I took a look around the room, noting everyone's expression, and then, I decided, "Screw it, I'm in.”
"Truth or Dare? Got it, got it," I said, walking over to the table to grab a beer. I chugged it down, "This game is more fun with a crowd. Mind if I join?"
"Of course, the more the merrier," said Ben, one of Liam's buddies. Probably trying to keep the peace, he quickly refilled my beer and pulled me down to sit next to Liam.
“What are you doing here?” Liam leaned in, his brow furrowed slightly, a hint of annoyance in his tone.
“Just joining the party,” I said, clinking my beer against his. I didn’t drink it, just swirled it around. “What’s wrong, are you feeling guilty about something?”
Liam just took a swig of his beer and didn’t say anything.
The game started again, and everyone was being a bit more tame now that I was there.
That is until the bottle landed on Tiffany.
"Truth or dare?" I asked, cutting in before anyone else could.
Tiffany paused, her eyes flickering between Liam and me, before finally meeting mine. She smirked, a challenge in her eyes. "Dare."
“Alright, that's what I like to hear,” I gave her a thumbs up. “Okay, you have to do a sake bomb with Ben.”
“Huh?” Ben looked shocked. He glanced over at Liam, unsure what to do.
"I told you to do a sake bomb with Ben. Why are you looking at him?" I asked, chuckling.
Liam’s face darkened. “Chloe, stop it. You’re being ridiculous.”
“Is it really that ridiculous? It’s just a game, right?” I said, feigning surprise, and then turned to Ben. "Ben, I don't think you have a girlfriend, right?"
The room was tense, a weird mix of awkward and uncomfortable. Ben scratched the back of his neck nervously. “Uh, no, I don't.”
“Perfect,” I grabbed another beer and handed it to him, then poured one for Tiffany too. “It's no big deal to do this with someone who has a girlfriend, so it’s not like it's a big deal with someone who's single, right, Tiffany?”
Before Tiffany could grab the glass, Liam snatched it up.
He slammed the glass on the table, his jaw clenched. “Chloe, you need to chill. You're being out of line.”
Then, like some knight in shining armor, he grabbed Tiffany’s wrist and stormed out of the room....
